It began with a daily challenge in the stable of the Rudolf family’s horses: many riding arenas on equestrian farms remain unmaintained. The equestrian industry faces a shortage of skilled workers, and the few available employees have less and less time.
Ideally, the arena should be leveled once or twice a day - but those working hours would be far better spent training horses or attending to clients. The tractors typically used for this task are hardly efficient.
For Malte Rudolf, this was an unacceptable situation.
Automating repetitive, simple tasks around the horse farm and creating tangible operational relief - this idea wouldn’t let go of Malte Rudolf. He knew one thing for certain: he couldn’t do it alone.
And when it came to finding a co-founder, there was only one real choice - Julian Werner.
What unites them is more than a long-standing friendship; it’s a deep bond of camaraderie forged through shared military training and missions abroad. As former paratrooper officers, they’ve been through thick and thin together and know how to operate as a team - even under pressure.
There couldn’t be a better foundation for taking on this new challenge side by side.

From a single idea came sketches, prototypes, and countless long evenings.
Malte and Julian relied on proven platforms and deliberately avoided unnecessary complexity - with one clear goal: to develop a machine that is both robust and easy to operate.
Rather than reinventing the wheel, they drew on the expertise of highly qualified industry partners.
Just a few weeks after the initial planning, the first test runs began - followed by rounds of adjustment, refinement, and further testing.
With every pass across the arena, they discovered new ways to make the robot even better.
As former paratroopers, Malte and Julian are no strangers to taking a leap into the unknown - and now, they’re making that same bold jump in business. They bring with them years of leadership and project management experience from their time in the German Armed Forces, channeling it into their new company: Blücher Deutschland GmbH.

Step by step, the concept evolved into the first fully functional model: an autonomous robot that takes over arena maintenance entirely.
Not a flashy gadget, but a true piece of working equipment - built with the same precision and robustness the founders came to value in their military careers.
Today, the Blücher robot reflects this very journey - born from real needs, tested in practice, and developed with a clear goal: to unite tradition and technology for the equestrian world.
Blücher stands as a professional partner for equestrian businesses, offering a solution that saves time, automates operations, and delivers consistent quality often unmatched by manual work.
More than just a product, Blücher is the foundation of a sustainable “Made in Germany” enterprise - dedicated to making everyday work on horse farms easier through many more applications to come.
